GoSocial (Parent Company: Hapramp Studio) is a social media platform where creators can host challenges and people can participate in them to expand their skillset and to interact with different people in their community. There are three domains in the platform: Photography, Art, and Writing. All the challenges are divided into these three categories so that, each genre attracts a particular type of audience. Challenge takers can set their goals (for how long they want to continue the challenge) and build "Streaks". To collect inspiration/explore ideas/interact with the community there is also a "Feed" section that lets users explore the different posts from the rest of the users.
The aim of the project was to design the web app of GoSocial based on the existing android application. The web app should be equivalent to the android application (in terms of behavior) and provides the same functionality to the users. It should be made such that it transitions to the design of the android app when in mobile/tab view.
A web application is application software that runs on a web server, unlike computer-based software programs that are run locally on the operating system of the device. Web applications are accessed by the user through a wb browser with an active network connection. Popular examples of a Web-App are: Twitter and Instagram
